So what's new on the baby front???

Well we have recently gotten back from Maine and Tim and Caseys wedding which was fantastic. Maine is an incredible place and has gotten Rachael and I thinking about trying to buy a summer place out there. Here are some pictures...

On other fronts Rach recently had to go take a THREE hour blood test to see if she has Pre-natal, Gestational or something like that Diabetes. The short comic that follow details those three hours.

Other than that the baby is fine, the due date got pushed up by two weeks, Bell can't wait to get out, and we can't wait to meet her. Hope all is well in your world, and check back for updates.

So here is the newest round of pictures

So we have gone in again and had and Ultrasound and everything looks fantastic! Bella is coming along nicely at 1.5 pounds. We saw her spine, (which is not like mine) we saw her strong little legs and her perfect brain, (which is like mine). In the side by side photos you can see her face, her eyes are in shadow but I highlighted where they are to help you see it. Other than that we are doing well although the wives tale is true and Rachael says Bella is stealing her beauty. But she says she's completely fine with it. We hope to hear from all of you and keep your calendars open for some events in the near future.

Love you all,
Spence and Rach

Some pictures from Germany and other countries

Here are some pictures of us on our whirlwind tour of the Eastern Block.

Thursday, July 2, 2009

So it's been a month.

Well we have been super busy but as all of you know we are back from the Eastern Block and still healthy and strong. We went to get a check-up for the baby yesterday and she is doing fine. I am posting an ultrasound video from a few weeks back because the pictures we got this time weren't that exciting. In the video you can see little Bella with her tiny little legs crossed and her hands by her head. She is pretty active because she has so much room to move around. The amazing 3D footage is from the fancy new Ultrasound machine at the doctors office, there isn't a whole lot of detail because Bella is still so small. She is about the size of an Orange in this video.

Rachael can feel flutters when the baby moves around which the technician said later she will feel as kicks. The baby is healthy and everything is coming along nicely. All the measurements are good and you can see as her perfect little four chamber heart just pumps away at 120 beats a minute. She's like our little humming bird.

I have enclosed a link rather than compress it down super small to post, so here it is.

It's fairly large file so feel free to play it full screen.

Well enjoy the video and I promise it wont be a month until I post again.

Oh and tell me if you want the really large file and I will "Yousendit" to you.

Pictures of Mama

Here is my amazing baby carrier, AKA my lovely wife. Rach has been quite a trooper through all this, the sickness, the constant sapping of energy, the cool laid back attitude. I love her dearly and can only stand by and help in anyway I can as she creates one of the most amazing children yet to be. All this and she is still as beautiful as ever.

MORE PICTURES!!!

So we have more pictures to show you of what is becoming a FINE child. Already taking after it's mom and dad the little tyke is using mommas uterus as a hammock. Kickin back with it's legs crossed (really they showed us, legs crossed). Between the five images you can see the difference between 10 weeks (the single picture) and twelve weeks ( the group of four). He/She has little fingers, little teeth, eyes, nose, mouth and to us personality. Stay tuned all, this thing is only gonna get bigger.

I can't wait.

I am so excited to have our first child. I am excited to meet her or him, to show them all the amazing family and friends we have. To see how you help to shape our kids. To expose them to so many different ways of thinking, doing and feeling. Rachael and I feel so loved by all of you, it is like our child will move from the womb of mamas tummy to a larger womb of loving family and friends.

Thank you everyone.
